Visualise
Visualise offers distribution networks a range of valuable geospatial monitoring and query features essential for locating and qualifying both ICP and network performance issues quickly and efficiently.
‘Visualise’ provides all of the collection, enhancement and storage provided for in the basic ‘AUDIT’ product and adds the following features.

Fault Monitor
Fault Monitor gives your network the capability to continuously improve the safety of delivery of electricity, and to prove that you have the latest systems and processes in place to reasonably mitigate risks to the public.
Without proper fault monitoring, there is often an over reliance on consumers reporting issues that may be symptomatic of serious faults and risks such as a broken neural wire.
Hiko’s ‘Fault Monitor’ uses the data collected by a Smart Meter to detect locations where conductors/connections are failing or about to fail, giving your network the chance locate issues geospatially proactively manage the power at that location and/or send a field technician to investigate.
‘Fault Monitor’ in most cases allows remedial action to be taken before an energy consumer is even aware of a supply issue or risk of shock.
Voltage Monitor
Hiko’s ‘Voltage Monitor’ feature enables networks to proactively focus on reducing extremes of voltage to reduce resulting impacts to consumers and network assets.
It is natural for changes to occur in electrical load, commonly being influenced by seasonal use as well as changes in consumer/societal behaviour including rapidly growing EV ownership and domestic solar power generation.
Hiko’s heat mapping delivers greater understanding of voltage issues by toggling between views that show intensity by % of time spent overvoltage (which is more likely to indicate the need for a Transformer tap change), and the actual level of the voltage (which can indicate areas where load and equipment size may need further investigation to optimise your asset).
Load Monitor
Load Monitor ensures your network can deliver the best customer experience at the same time as extending the serviceable life of your assets.
Load Monitor provides networks with a better understanding of the loading and hosting capability within their network, facilitating the proactive identification of network and ICPs reaching capacity versus those that are underutilised and that could be repurposed.
Hiko’s Business Intelligence tools go further in allowing you to include asset profiles (GX /Feeder/TX) giving your network the capability of drilling down further to ICP level and geospatially locating transformers that may be under or over utilised.
Export Monitor
Through the growth in domestic solar generation it is increasingly common for ICP’s to export power into the grid.
Export monitor plays an important health and safety role as well as tracking and visualising the growth of exports over time (important for future network planning).
Export Monitor understands if an ICP has capacity and is consented for voltage export versus those that connected without consent. This becomes extremely important when protecting lines workers from unconsented supply causing electrocution.
Outage Monitor
Minimise the impact of outages with considered and meaningful actions with Hiko’s Outage Monitor.
Continuity of power supply is important to everyone and the impact of an unplanned outage can range from being simply inconvenient through to life threatening. Continuity of supply can be affected by many things outside of the control of your network including extreme weather events and traffic accidents, however how you react makes all the difference when it does happen.
For planned and unplanned outages ‘Outage monitor’ quickly provides clear information when connections lose power. In as little as 5 minutes from an outage occurring Outage Monitor saves Field technicians significant time by allowing a widespread fault to be located without ‘driving the line’ and making the prioritisation of field activities possible before deploying.
Controllable Load
Controllable Load provides view over time of load available to be controlled throughout the network
Hiko’s Business Intelligence tools allow you to understand the amount of load that can be controlled throughout the network, presenting it and aggregating it to network topology.
This is proven to be a valuable tool when you need to shed load or triage areas where the impact to the network and end consumers is minimised.
ICP Query
ICP Query simply keeps things simple for Smart Meter Customers
ICP Query provides a snapshot of all pertinent information for a single ICP in one convenient view. It provides details of loading by meter, channel, registry, and topology information and includes event data showing what has occurred at the meter for further investigation and over time analysis. Recorded events include load control, voltage, outages, over current alerts, temp alerts, export, and meter disconnect status.
